Two rescue squad members were awarded medals by the Commissioner on Monday, October 21.
VRA Rescue NSW Commissioner Brenton Charlton was in Casino to present the medals.
Mr Charlton talked to the squad about improvements to vehicles, equipment, training and advancements in data reporting.
Then he presented and awarded two VRA Rescue NSW long service and good conduct medals to Casino members Matthew Jackson and Donna Wray for more than 10 years of dedicated service each. Mr Jackson has served 18 years and Ms Wray 11 years.
After the award presentation, the entire Casino squad with the Commissioner and region operations manager Paul Cowles went out for dinner at the Clydesdale to thank the squad, both operational and non-operational members, including their families for all they do for the community.
