It was a glittering night at the Official Casino Beef Week Opening Ball at the Casino RSM tonight, Saturday, May 24.

The nine entrants vying for the Beef Week crown were Isabella Murphy, Caitlin Ware, Charlie Murray, Kaitlin Walker, Isabella Green, Mackenzie Murphy, Georgia Owen, Lillian Green and Mishayla Hayes.

The Queen entrants wait for the announcement.

No doubt they were nervous waiting for the result to be announced. The runner-up was announced first – Mishayla stepped on to the stage to receive her crown — and she was thrilled.

The audience waited for the next announcement – who was this year’s Beef Week Queen?

Richmond Valley mayor Robert Mustow announced the winner – it was Charlie Murray.

The moment Charlie Murray realises she has won the crown.

She gave her first speech as Queen.

”Wow, who would have thought — me? As Beef Week Queen,” she said.

”I can’t wait for Beef Week.”

Annaleise Barrett hands over the gown and tiara to the new Beef Week Queen Charlie Murray.

The Ambassadors for Beef Week are Lacey Chadderton, Ella Boag, Jasmine Sherlock, Sam McLennan and Stella Dean and along with all the queen entrants they will be part of the activities during Beef Week. You’ll see them at events wearing their sashes.
