The truck show is so popular, organisers have had to cap the number of trucks this year to 550. The number of trucks in the parade will be limited to 200.
Registration remains the same at $30 per truck, including competition entry and parking in the event precinct. Online registrations can be made here. Registrations will be accepted from Tuesday, July 1.
Richmond Valley Council and the Casino Truck Show committee announced two new three-year deals with North Coast Petroleum as principal naming rights sponsor and Dawson’s Haulage as parade sponsor.
Richmond Valley Council general manager Vaughan Macdonald said these agreements showed a commitment to the truck show’s long-term success.
Last year’s truck show had more than 30,000 people attend.
Casino Truck Show supported a number of charities last year — Movember received $10,000 to support men’s health issues. Steering the Future and Westpac Rescue Helicopter collected $5000 each, with Casino Show Society receiving $2000 and both the Rappville Hall Committee and the Platypus Day Club granted $1000 each.
