This year Vietnam Veterans Day marks 60 years since the Battle of Long Tan on August 18, 1966.
The day was originally called Long Tan Day and was changed to Vietnam Veterans Day to honour the almost 60,000 Australians between 1962–1973 who fought – 523 died and about 3000 were wounded.
