Yarding of 1900 cattle at NRLX sales

Casino penned 1900 cattle at today’s sales at the NRLX in Casino, with large offering of cows.

That is 290 extra head compared to last week.

Weight lifted through the young cattle and the regular buyers attended to dearer market for good quality vealers which went principally to backgrounders.

Background weaner steers to 280kgs were much dearer 345c to 565c/kg.

A quality correction saw steers to 330kgs cheaper at 378c to 530c/kg.

Medium yearling steers to feed were cheaper 340c to 456c/kg.

Heavy yearling steers to process dearer 426c to 466c/kg.

Weaner heifers to 280kgs 17c/kg dearer 320c to 478c/kg with processors also dearer 365c to 422c/kg.

Similar results for the feeders lifting 27c/kg and selling to 378c/kg.

Medium yearling heifers to feed gained 6c/kg 348c to 400c/kg.

Grown steers to process dearer 420c to 440c/kg similar heifers 345c to 380c/kg.

Prime heavy cows firm 372c to 394c/kg.

Two and three score cows slipped 7c/kg selling to 377c/kg.

Medium cows also 7c/kg cheaper 252c to 336c/kg. Heavy bulls to 4c/kg dearer 356c to 394c/kg.
