Yonder Country is a new shop opening in South Casino on Saturday, May 23.

Chris Hasse and Erin Burke have turned the former vintage furniture shop into a place with a real Casino vibe.

The shop is for cattle men – and women, stockmen, people into horses – and anyone looking for a special gift or a souvenir of Casino.

”I’m a cattleman and run a corporate farm at Spring Grove,” Chris said.

”This is our first shop – we’ve put our life into it.”

Welcome to Yonder Country.

The products in. Yonder Country are unique. From saddles, cattle hide designer bags, cattle hide footstools, drinking cups branded with Casino, colourful Yowy watercans for the back of the ute, fluffy toy highland cows, ceramics, boots and so much more.

Travel bags are on sale.

Chris and Erin have decorated the shop with gigantic buffalo horns. They’ve also focused on sourcing items made in Australia.

”I was running a cattle station in WA, Erin is from the coast,” Chris said.

Souvenir mugs

The couple met a year ago and now they’re partners in Yonder Country.

The shop has a relaxed, country vibe and it offers some unexpected products such as secondhand equestrian gear and dog jackets for pig hunting.

Free keyring tags to celebrate Beef Week

There are free leather keyring tags on offer when they open to honour Brenda Armfield – the theme for this year’s Beef Week. Chris spent hours making them, he said.

Check out Casino’s newest shop next Saturday.
