Josh Harris from Kyogle trains hard and plays hard and is always looking at ways to improve his cricket skills.
Josh plays for Kyogle Cricket Club and Casino RSM Club Cavaliers and he recently spent a couple of days in Canberra immersed in a high performance cricket environment with the Cricket ACT Comets in Canberra.
It was just reward for Josh who played well for the Casino RSM Cavaliers in his first season of the Far North Coast LJ Hooker 1st Grade competition.
Josh was exposed to agility and mobility drills, fitness testing, strength and conditioning sessions, fast bowling analysis and expert advice, and bowling to some of the Cricket ACT Comets as they prepare for their Top End T20 tour to Darwin in a couple of weeks. 
The Cricket ACT Comets will be playing soon against BBL and international sides in an annual competition that acts as a warm-up to the season.
Cavaliers captain Damien Vidler said Josh was one of the hardest trainers last season.
“He produced some amazing spells against some of the best bats in Far North Coast cricket,” Damien said.
“I was stoked that Josh took up this opportunity, provided by Cricket ACT and our own Mick Wood.” 
“I look forward to seeing Josh perform again for us this season, no doubt a little wiser, fitter and stronger after experiencing firsthand what next level cricket has to offer”.
The Cavs will launch their pre-season on Sunday, August 9 at 9:30am at QE Park nets.
