Work starts at Airforce Beach at Evans Head today, Monday, October 19.
Richmond Valley Council advises that work on upgrades to the carpark at Airforce Beach and to the beach accesses will likely take six weeks to complete.
The works include:
- Construction of beach access tracks
- Construction of carpark area
- Removal of existing fencing
- Construction of a new concrete footpath
- Installation of bollards, signage, line marking and sandstone blocks
Airforce Beach access will remain closed while work is being done.
The council said that these works may cause temporary inconvenience to beachgoers while construction is underway.
