The temporary bridge at Back Creek, near the intersection with Homeleigh Road, will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10.
Kyogle Council workers had to retrieve the deck from where it was washed away by floodwaters last week.
Workers had to construct a hardstand base for the excavator to operate from, and then there was the construction of approaches and reinstatement of the bridge substructure and deck.
Much of the work has been completed in the last few days.
Until the bridge is complete, the best route for traffic on Kyogle Road through to Cawongla, Nimbin, Murwillumbah and the Gold Coast is through Lismore.
Separate to the bridge repairs, Kyogle Swimming Pool will be closed from 8.30am to 12.30pm tomorrow because of an Essential Energy planned power outage.
