A new edition of the Discover Richmond Valley guide is out.

The guide is filled with information on everything from festivals and events, interesting places to visit, national parks, reserves, rivers and beaches, adventure activities, and places to stay, eat and shop.

More than 10,000 copies of the A5 guide are available at visitor centres locally and across NSW and southeast Queensland.

The guide is also available online in an accessible, e-magazine format here.

The front cover of the guide features the mural on Casino’s water tower.

Like the rest of the North Coast, the Richmond Valley visitor economy has grown in the past five years.

Tourism is estimated to contribute $78million to the Richmond Valley visitor economy every year. Domestic daytrips account for 59% of visitors to the region and domestic overnight visitors account for 40% of visitors.

Richmond Valley Council’s director community service delivery Angela Jones said the visitor guide was a “must-have” for visitors.

“Our goal with the new Discover Richmond Valley Visitor Guide is to provide visitors with an authentic experience which goes beyond the traditional tourist trail,” Ms Jones said.

The booklet is ideal for local businesses to have on their counters.
