Burns Point ferry to close for three weeks for maintenance

The Burns Point ferry needs annual maintenance and will be closed from after the weekend for three weeks.

The ferry will operate this weekend October 22–23.

The last ferry will run at 11am on Monday, October 24 and is back at 5.30am on Monday, November 14.

During the three week maintenance period the ferry will have structural and safety upgrades done. The maintenance can only be completed off the water. The vessel will be sandblasted and repainted.

The ferry crossing will be closed during this work and drivers will need to use the alternative route of the Pacific Highway and River Drive, Wardell.
