Gary and Yvonne Smith are celebrating in Sydney tonight, Saturday, April 13.
Their Casino shop Sensational Crafts is the winner of the Australian Small Business Awards in the arts, crafts and gifts category.
“We are just so overwhelmed,” Gary said.
“We really could not have got it without our amazing customers, all whom are friends, who every day inspire us to keep doing what we do.
“Of course, we are passionate about what we do. We both have tears of joy.”
Yvonne and Gary have been selling craft items since 2004, first online, and then five years ago they opened the Barker Street shop.
After their celebrations at the Casino in Sydney tonight, they’ll be heading back home to Casino with their award on Monday and will be “back in the thick of it” on Tuesday if you want to pop into the shop to congratulate them.
