It has been a busy time for Evans Head Fire and Rescue crew.
First at 8.30pm on Thursday, August 13, the crew were called to assist the RFS with a B-double truck that was on fire at New Italy.
The truck was carrying cardboard and crews attacked the fire from both sides.
Crews from Woodburn, Wardell, Alphadale, Dunoon and Woombah assisted with relay pumping, firefighting and water supply, as well as 316 Hazmat unit, police and paramedics.
Fire and Rescue left the scene at 1.30am, only to be called out at 3.30am to a house fire on the Woodburn Evans Head Road.
The house was empty.
