Squad goes to rescue two stuck at storage shed

It’s been a busy night for the Casino Rescue Squad.

At 6pm today, Thursday, June 23 the rescue squad was needed at an industrial rescue in East Street, Casino.

On arrival, the crew found two people stuck inside a storage shed complex.

The gates would not open because of a power cut at a nearby police incident.

The rescue squad used two ladders to help one person over the large gate and before the second person could be released, a representative from the storage sheds arrived and over-rode the system and opened the gate.

At 7pm today, Thursday, June 23, the rescue squad headed to Bentley to help a bogged ambulance.

The ambulance was bogged in a wet road shoulder and was in the process of transporting a patient to hospital.

On arrival a local NRMA unit had just released the bogged ambulance and the rescue squad headed back to Casino.
