Premier Dominic Perrottet has promised to make the independent flood inquiry report by former police commissioner Mick Fuller and chief scientist Mary O’Kane public. He hasn’t said when that will be – only that it will be some time this month.

The inquiry into the flood response recommended the State Government buy back or do a land swap for people living in flood-prone areas.

The scheme would be part of a $3 billion response to the Northern Rivers floods in February and March which killed 13 people and destroyed more than 4,000 homes.

Mr Perrottet was given the report on July 30. The report recommended the Resilience NSW be dismantled and its head Shane Fitzsimmons be made redundant.
