Cakes, cattle, chooks and more – Share your talent at Kyogle Show

The secrets of a champion fruitcake remain a secret.

Susanna Freymark

The highlight of every Kyogle Show is the talent on display – and the people behind that talent.

It is the people leading cattle in the ring, the people showing giant roosters and tiny hens, the bakers, quilters, photographers, artists and growers of flowers and vegetables – it’s these people who make the Kyogle Show what it is.

I spend hours at the Kyogle Show checking out the talented work and am in awe of the creativity on display.

Whether you’re a seasoned baker crafting intricate cakes or a young enthusiast decorating simple iced biscuits, your contributions add to the magic of the show.

This winning cake is far too pretty to eat.

If you’ve entered the show before or you’re considering it for the first time, register your entry here.

Cattle entries close on September 15 and pavilion entries on September 22.

Submit your entries online today, and let’s celebrate the best of Kyogle together.

Every year there is a Best in Show perpetual trophy introduced for the first time in 2022.

A judge observes the entire show and selects a show winner.

Helen Trustum, Allie Walters and Kevin Hogan MP.

In 2022, Best in Show went to 12 year old girl Allie Walters for her champion cake displayed in her great grandfather’s pavilion.

In 2023, it was awarded to the residents at Whiddon Kyogle for their display of art.

Whiddon residents won Best in Show last year for their team artwork.

Kyogle Show is on Friday, September 27 – Saturday, September 28.
