Are you ready for Beef Week Wednesday cos it’s packed with action?
The Casino Beef Week Cattle Spectacular starts on Wednesday, May 22 and runs for four days – steer and junior shows on Wednesday, a Youth Education Day on Thursday, carcass judging and meatworks tour on Friday and the Stud Show on Saturday.
On Wednesday, there will be plenty of cattle in the ring in Casino’s CBD at 10am–8pm.
There’s something about a cattle ring surrounded by shops and roads – it makes for compelling viewing.
Bring the family, park yourselves on the hay bales and watch the cattle being led around the ring by juniors.
At 6.30pm the bidding bonanza begins with the Twilight Steer Auctions.
There is a Prime Meat Sale at the Northern Rivers Livestock Exchange at 7.30am.
If you’ve never been to the saleyards before , it is well worth a look to see how cattle is sold.
In between all the cattle events, head to Momentum Collective on Walker Street for a delicious brunch and after wards check out the shops and see how the windows have been decorated to the Retro Rewind theme.
The buskers comp is on all week so you’ll see musicians performing at random places in the CBD.
Finish off a Beef Week Wednesday with live music by Jason Ayala Spare at the Tattersalls Hotel.’
