Councillors Doolan, Wilson and Mulholland voted for Mr Burley.

At the beginning of the council meeting two residents spoke in favour of Ms Mulholland as mayor.

Lyn Parker from Woodenbong said Ms Mulholland was “the mayor we want”.

”She listens to all points of view, she was a full time mayor and works hard for our community.

”We want her back.”

CWA member Narelle Gottring from Bonalbo said Ms Mulholland “is constantly at the heart of the community”.

Ms Gottring urged councillors to elect Ms Mulholland who was “a jewel in the crown.”
