COVID: 1099 new cases in Northern Rivers, seven people in ICU

There were 1099 new covid cases reported in the Northern Rivers today.

The results came from 663 positive PCR tests and 436 positive rapid antigen tests.

The PCR tested cases were located in these LGAs:

Kyogle 9

Clarence Valley 64

Lismore 37

Ballina 66

Byron 91

Tenterfield 0

Tweed 344

There are 55 covid patients in hospital in Northern NSW, with seven of these in ICU.

Across the state there are 2,863 people in hospital, 217 in ICU.

There were 32 covid deaths announced today.

There were 32,297 new covid cases. The results came from 12,450 rapid antigen tests and 19,847 from PCR testing.
