COVID UPDATE: 686 new cases in Northern Rivers

There were 686 new covid cases reported in the Northern Rivers today.

Rapid antigen test results are not yet included in these numbers.

The cases were located in these LGAs:

Ballina 84

Clarence Valley 33

Lismore 49

Byron 126

Tenterfield 0

Tweed Heads 353

There are 52 covid patients in hospital in Northern NSW with eight of these in ICU.

Across NSW there were 34,660 positive tests for covid. Of these 13,682 came from RATs and 20,978 from PCR testing.

Of the 13,682 positive RAT results, 11,204 of these positive tests were from the previous seven days.
