There will be military fast jet training operations at Evans Head Air Weapons Range during October and November on these dates:
October 27–30 – F/A-18F Super Hornets 1SQN
October 27–30 – F-35A Lightning II – 2OCU
November 12–13 – F-35A Lightning II – 2OCU
All day operations will be conducted between the hours of 10am–5pm.
As the aircraft will be conducting strafe (gunnery) activities, the over water safety area which includes South Reef will be out of bounds to all vessels and personnel for the duration of the mission.
If you are uncertain of this area, check in with Marine Rescue via Channel 16 on your marine radio.
