After flooding across the region on Monday, February 28, everyone needed to stock up on Tuesday and today.

Businesses in Casino CBD were busy cleaning up yesterday after the Richmond River burst its banks on Monday night and flooded the main streets.

Aldi and Woolworths supermarkets in Casino were out of action on Tuesday.

This meant Coles was hit hard and within a short time, the supermarket shelves were empty.

Noel Pascoe said the shelves at Coles were depleted shelves after everybody rushed there yesterday.

Today, all three major supermarkets in Casino are open but are they busy with many out of town customers stocking up.

The shelves at Coles continued to empty at a fast rate today.

“Not a loaf of bread or a spud to be found for love or money,” Mr Pascoe said today.
