Kyogle Ritchie’s Supa IGA is running low on some products.

Supermarket manager Brendan Alvos has been on the phone all morning confirming orders. He has 200 cartons of longlife milk coming.

“We are starting to run short and light in some areas,” Mr Alvos said.

“Our fruit and veg market were taken out by flood water.”

Orders for the Kyogle supermarket come by truck from Brisbane.

Mr Alvos is confident of orders reaching Kyogle by Friday.

“I told them I want everything,” said.

“When it comes it will be truck after truck.”

Trucks will come on the weekend if they have to, he said.

Some liquor items are running low but people were understanding about that.

“The liquor manager is focused on getting stuff here,” Mr Alvos said.

Many people from out of town, including Casino were shopping at the Kyogle supermarket, he said.

“There’s lots of people here I haven’t seen before.”
