Former police officer Cridland has sentence date set for December

Former police officer Troy Cridland has been found guilty of sexual intercourse with a child between the ages of 14 and 16 years.

Cridland was 28 and employed as a police officer in the Northern Rivers in 2020 at the time of the offences. The girl was 14 at the time.

In Lismore Court today, Monday, July 24, the judge set the sentencing date for Cridland for Friday, December 1.

Cridland appeared in court via video link.

His only words on hearing the sentencing date were — “Yes, Your Honour.”
