Fun run, beach clean up, river fest, orchid show, panto, open gardens – What a weekend

Susanna Freymark

Some unique events happening this weekend – here’s What’s On.

There are the regular farmers markets in Evans Head, Casino and Kyogle. And there is live music across the region, go here for the details.

Some of the special events this weekend include a book launch of Susan Hughes’s first book The Kettle’s On at Kyogle Library, the Camelot panto in Kyogle, the orchid show in Woodburn and open gardens in Kyogle.

The Riverside Festival next to the Richmond River is on Saturday, September 19. See the poster below for some of the family fun activities.

On Sunday, there is a cleanup at Evans Head on the beach – get some exercise, enjoy the ocean air and clean the beach all at the same time. Details here.

And don’t forget the Casino run along the rail trail. It’s starting even earlier because it’s going to warm on Sunday.

It’s going to be a warm weekend, stay safe when swimming and eat lots of ice cream (because you can).

Check out our What’s On and have a great weekend.
