Casino’s Chris Sauer wants to go to France to compete in the Virtus Global Games.

The 33 year old recently won gold representing Australia in Judo in the 90+kg division at the Oceania Virtus Games in Brisbane.

That success led to Chris being selected to represent Australia in France in the 2023 Virtus Global Games.

The games event happens every four years, in the preceding year to the Paralympics.

Chris is a part-time cleaner at the Casino RSM Club. He also gets the disability pension.

An online fundraising campaign has been set up with a target of $8000 to get Chris to France.

Thousands of athletes from around the world will gather to compete for medals in sports including athletics, swimming, table tennis, rowing, basketball, futsal, tennis, taekwondo and cycling.

If you’d like to help Chris get to France donate here.
