GET IN QUICK: Grants to fund our country shows

Oh, how we’ve missed our country shows.

Covid restrictions have impacted all regional shows with many towns missing out on a show for more than two years.

Casino, Kyogle, Bonalbo and Woodenbong shows can apply for grants up to $45,000 to help run their shows next year. And they need to get in quick.

State MP Chris Gulaptis said the grants from the $5 million Country Shows Support Package can not only be used to make shows covid safe but to subsidise stall fees, equipment hire, upgrade show facilities or engage local artists or musicians.

The Country Shows Support Package will give organisers the confidence to lock in suppliers, hire equipment and purchase goods.

The $5 million Country Shows Support Package is part of the NSW Government’s $200 million Regional Recovery Package.

Applications close on Friday, April 29 or when funding is exhausted.
