My wife Karen grew up in Clunes and I have lived on a farm there for 25 years. My kids were raised here and went to school in Clunes and Lismore.
I was a teacher at St Mary’s in Casino for 10 years where I taught business studies. I went to be and investment officer for an industry superfund and would fly regularly to Sydney.
I got involved in politics 10 years ago. I had a conversation with Thomas George one day and he encourage me to have a go.
I was attracted to the Nationals because I liked the rural focus.
I am about community, where I live and who my neighbours are.
As an MP you get to know everybody. I’ve been the Member for Page for nine years. As a father I’ve been involved in the P&C, sports clubs and coaching.
There are always challenges and I will always advocate for the community.
I am community focused.
