Friends of the Koala have 8000 koala food trees grown by NSW State Forests that they are looking to distribute.
The koala group are looking for landholders or landcare groups who are in a koala habitat area or are close by.
The trees available are:
forest red gum
tallowwood
swamp mahogany
grey gum
blackbutt
Dunn’s white gum
At this stage there isn’t have a limit on numbers per person but up to 400 trees at a time would be a good starting point, with more available subject to demand.
Larger numbers would be available for landcare groups.
Smaller numbers can be requested.
