It’s a big race day for At Witz End who could win the Casino Gold Cup again at Casino Racecourse today, Saturday, October 25 .
Five years ago At Witz End won The Charcoal Inn sponsored race.
Trainer Daniel Bowen from Lismore said he could do it again.
“He just got back from the Lismore Cup and has performed well,” Daniel said.
“It would be quite a feat to win five years later.”
The rider is Baillie Baker, a 24 year old apprentice in training jockey who is making a name for herself.
Baillie lives at the Gold Coast. Already this year she’s won a double at the Birdsville Cup.
“She’s quite talented and is going places,” Daniel said.
“It’s exciting to have her in the race. Her partner is a jockey too.”
The Charcoal Inn Casino Gold Cup is on at 4.01pm at Casino racecourse.
Gates open at 11am. Entry is $10.
