Sasha Mainsbridge will be running a free workshop – How high? Thinking through a successful house raising project – at the Woodburn Recovery Hub next month.

These workshops are designed to assist anyone considering raising their home – old or new – to protect themselves from future floods, Ms Mainsbridge.

“Whether you’ve qualified for government assistance, or you’re just taking the initiative, our goal is to help you think through the critical issues in order to make your project truly successful.”

Ms Mainsbridge has worked in corporate insurance and conservation and land management. She founded the non-profit organisation Mullum Cares in 2015.

After her home flooded in early 2022, she recognised the urgency of adapting homes to mitigate climate change impacts.

The workshop is on Thursday, February 1 at 5pm–6.30pm at Woodburn Recovery Hub, 108 Richmond Street, Woodburn.

This event is free and all are welcome. This venue is wheelchair accessible.

Places are limited and registration is essential. Register here.
