Star Wars characters, Star Trek, sci-fi nerds, steam punks, geeks and maybe even a Superman or two – this is nothing unusual at a Pop Culture Festival.
Casino held one in 2019, and it is time for another one.
The Casino Pop Culture Festival is on tomorrow, Saturday, April 20 at Windara on Sextonville Road, Casino at 9am–5pm.
Organiser Ben West from the Rotary Club of Upper Richmond said they were still open to stallholders.
A festival highlight is Dean Rankine from Melbourne. You may not know that name but you’ll recognise the characters he draws and animates. Rankine is the illustrator for The Simpsons, Rick & Morty and other shows.
He’ll be at Windara offering a drawing class at 1pm.
Ben said people are welcome to bring along Rankine’s work to get it autographed.
