Supporting Jeans for Genes is a no-brainer for Jess Thomas.

At her Countryfolk Workwear & Apparel shop in Kyogle, there are plenty of jean brands including Levi and Wrangler to choose from.

And 10% of each purchase will go to the Jeans for Genes fundraiser for the Children’s Medical Research Institute.

“I am a single mother of four children and although they luckily haven’t suffered with a birth or gene defect, I am sympathetic to the cause,” Jess said.

“I couldn’t imagine what these family and children go through, mothering, working and life is already hard enough.”

CountryFolk has been in business for almost two years.

The jean wall in the shop has a shelf that’s been repurposed from when the shop was a hardware store, Jess said.

The Jeans for Genes promotion runs until August 4.

Countryfolk is at 67 Summerland Way, Kyogle. Entrance is on Geneva St.
