In the early hours of the morning, a car crashed into a tree at Yorklea.
Emergency services rushed to Fogwells Road at about 1am, today, Thursday, June 13.
The 60 year old driver and sole occupant of the car died at the scene.
Police have established a crime scene even though the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Casino VRA Rescue Squad stayed on scene for five hours providing lighting and support to police.
