A convoy of motorhomes – 120 of them – were driven by NSW Rural Fire Service members from Sydney to the Northern Rivers.

The temporary homes on wheels are for flood affected residents.

Forty motor homes arrived in Casino and are ready to house people whose homes are uninhabitable since the floods.

Anyone seeking emergency accommodation because of the floods can make a request through their local evacuation centre or by calling Service NSW on 13 77 88 or online here.

Resilience NSW said the State Government was working to secure longer-term housing solutions.
