The leasing of Northern Rivers Livestock Exchange is going ahead with tenders being called for from tomorrow Thursday, October 26.
Richmond Valley Council has appointed real estate firm JLL to manage the tender process independently.
RVC general manager Vaughan Macdonald said council wants to partner with a lessee who is well equipped to take the NRLX to the next level and develop the facility in a way that benefits the community and the broader livestock industry.
“We’re confident that JLL has the right experience to manage this process professionally and transparently and council looks forward to receiving their final recommendations,” he said.
Tenders close November 30, with the aim to appoint a successful tenderer in December, to take control of the NRLX business in the new year.
Tender inquiries can be made to JLL’s Chris Holger on 0411 177 167 or Clayton Smith on 0428 878 523.
