Police were called to a home on Hickey Street, Casino, following reports of a home invasion at about 8.30pm yesterday, Tuesday, January 23.
At the scene, police were told three men allegedly entered the home and threatened a man and woman with an axe before stealing personal items.
A short time later, a 20 year old man was arrested at a motel in Hare Street, Casino. He was taken to Casino Police Station.
He was charged with aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence, and aggravated break and enter of a dwelling.
The man was granted strict conditional bail and will appear before Casino Local Court on Thursday, February 22.
