Pregnant woman airlifted from Casino because road to Lismore flooded

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to Casino at 6am today, April 1 after reports of a young woman experiencing pregnancy complications.

Because of flooding, the road between Casino and Lismore was closed.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics treated and transported the 30 year old woman from her home to Casino Airport to meet the helicopter and the helicopter critical care medical team.

The woman was airlifted to Lismore Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.

In the past 24 ours, the rescue helicopter also airlifted a 60 year old woman to Lismore Base Hospital. She was suffering a medical condition and is in a stable condition.

In Casino, a 55 year old man suffering a medical condition was airlifted to Lismore Base Hospital. He was in a stable condition.
