The rescue squad had an unusual callout to a girl stuck in a swing today, Saturday, January 6.
The Casino VRA Rescue Squad crew were called to Savins Park at Sunset Place, Casino at 2:30pm and found a 15 year old girl stuck in a toddler’s swing.
The lock on the swing had apparently seized making it impossible to get herself out.
Rescue operators manipulated the locking mechanism and had the teen free within minutes of arriving. The girl was not injured.
Fire and Rescue NSW Station 253 Casino also assisted on the job.
Richmond Valley Council has been notified about the faulty swing.
