Rescue helicopter winches woman from cliff face

A woman slipped while out walking and fell down a cliff face at Busbys Flat at 3pm yesterday, Friday, March 29.

Police, Casino VRA Rescue Squad and paramedics rushed to the scene and after a quick assessment decided the woman was best reached by helicopter.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to the scene and winched the woman to safety.

Emergency services were out in force.

All emergency crews assisted the extraction of the woman from the dangerous situation she was in.

She was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for further medical attention.
