RESCUE: Man burnt after lawnmower explodes

A 45 year old man was badly burnt in an explosion in Swan Bay at 3.20pm today, Sunday, June 5.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to Swan Bay where the critical care team and paramedics treated and stabilised the man who sustained serious burns to his hands and arms after the lawnmower he was refuelling exploded. 

The man was airlifted to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition for further specialist treatment.
