Casino Rural Fire Brigade attended a car fire on a property at Lower Dyraaba at about 3.30pm today, Saturday, July 12.
When the crew arrived, the car had been mostly extinguished by the occupants.
The crew checked over the car with a thermal imaging camera and discovered that the fire was still burning underneath the car.
The terrain where the car was located was inaccessible for the fire truck.
Instead, a CO₂ extinguisher was used to put out the rest of the remaining fire.
The cause of the fire is not known.
