RFS crews contain bushfire in state forest

A fire in a state forest on Mud Flat Rd, near Drake started at 7.30am yesterday, Wednesday, May 10.

RFS fire crews from Tabulam, Drake and Frasers Cutting managed to contain the fire.

About 25ha of state forest was burnt.

Firefighters used dry fire-fighting techniques such as raking to contain the fire. Forestry staff assisted.

Crews are continuing to patrol the area today, Thursday, May 11.
