SEVEN Kyogle community halls will have significant work done after securing grants, with Collins Creek Public Hall getting $35,000 to replace the hall roof.
State MP Janelle Saffin said hall committees would share in $108,168 worth of Community Building Partnership Program funding.
“While I shall still continue advocacy for a $1-million allocation for every electorate, the increase from $300,000 to $400,000 has allowed for a total of 27 projects to be funded across our four Local Government Areas,” Ms Saffin said.
She encouraged local organisation to apply for the program’s 2022 round.
The funded halls include:
  • Collins Creek Public Hall: roof replacement, $35,000.
  • Tabulam Public Hall Reserve: construction of a roof over the outdoor barbecue and entertaining area, $24,950.
  • Mummulgum Public Hall Reserve: installation of two 35,000-litre rainwater tanks, $12,714.
  • Wadeville Reserve: replacement of electrical wiring switches and conduits in Hanging Rock Hall, $12,000.
  • Findon Public Recreation Reserve: painting interior of Bundgeam Hall, $11,504.
  • Grevillia Hall: installation of solar panels, $6000.
  • Mallanganee Public Hall: installation of a stainless-steel canopy for commercial size gas stove, $6000.
