The clouds are darkening as the storm is building.
Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Northern Rivers.
The storm area impacts Kyogle, Casino, Tabulam and Bonalbo.
BoM advises residents to move cars under cover and secure loose items in your yard. Also, unplug computers and appliances.
