An ambulance rushed to Chinamans Beach Road at Evans Head at about 11am today, Wednesday, March 13.
Paramedics found a woman, 66 had cut her leg badly on a surfboard fin.
The surfer was taken to Lismore Base Hospital in the ambulance.
