Do you know where life-saving defibrillators are?

Jeff Marriott said it’s time to have a registry of defibrillators.

Jeff Marriott did a first aid course with Kyogle Council earlier this month.

After using an AED – Automatic Electronic Defibrillator on the course, Jeff  saw the need for a register of where these life saving machines were located in Kyogle.

He asked on Facebook who had an AED and is compiling a list.

So far he has these locations:

IGA

Kyogle High School

Kyogle Bowling Club

Kyogle Library

McKid Medical Centre

Dave’s Bakehouse

Anyone who knows where a defibrillator is located in Kyogle LGA can email Jeff at j_marriott22@hotmail.com

IndyNR.com will publish a permanent page of defibrillator locations once we have a comprehensive list.

So let us know for Richmond Valley too.

The list of locations in Richmond Valley so far include:

Council offices in Casino and Evans Head

Casino and Evans Head libraries

Casino Visitor Information Centre

For more locations that you know of in Richmond Valley email indynr.com@gmail.com

No training is required to operate a defibrillator as the machine speaks the instructions when you open it. All you have to do is follow what the AED says and you could save someone’s life.
