NDIS participants have the chance to Bloom in a new program launched in Casino, Grafton and Tweed Heads by Momentum Collective.

The new program offers various activities for individuals to reach their life goals in the NDIS programs of support.

Momentum Collective said about 60% of NDIS participants, representing over 332,950 individuals, lack input finding ways vital to realise their aspirations.

In response, Momentum Collective went on a seven-month journey dedicated to understanding the needs and preferences of clients, families and carers.

Momentum Collective chief executive Tracey Mackie said clients were instrumental in shaping the new service.

“They expressed a desire for a program that embodies vibrancy, enjoyment, and innovation,” she said.

“The difference with Bloom is that all activities are directly linked to the client’s outcomes, be it lifelong learning, social and community participation, or the cultivation of meaningful relationships. NDIS participants can choose from various activities, such as our swimming group, art therapy, learning to drive, job-seeking group, or even learning how to become a barista.”

The not-for-profit organisation aims to ensure that people with disability are heard and supported in building their capacity.
