Two new covid cases in the Northern Rivers and sewage detection

Two new covid cases were reported in the Northern Rivers
Both cases are in the Lismore LGA and are linked to known cases.
Initial investigations indicate they were infectious in the community.
Contact tracing is underway to determine venues of concern and further information will be provided as soon as possible.
Covid exposure sites are listed on the NSW Government website.
Richmond Valley and Kyogle LGA did not have any new cases reported.
Virus fragments were detected in sewage samples at Byron Bay.
There are currently no known active cases in the Byron area.
There have been 115 cases reported in the Northern NSW Local Health District since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.
