UPDATE: Missing man, 76, found in Lismore

A man missing from Lismore has been located safe and well.

The 76-year-old man was last seen about 5pm on Monday, February 28 at an evacuation centre in Lismore.

Officers from Richmond Police Area Command were notified when the man could not be located or contacted and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Following inquiries, the man was located safe and well on Union Street, South Lismore, about 11.45am today, Tuesday, March 8.

Police thank the public and media for their assistance.
